Hey, Green? Is there anything I can do- well, now I have to figure out how to word this without sounding like I'm rambling- Is there anything I can do to help Red, too?

I... I want to help him. I really do. But there's so much that's wrong and I'm... I dunno- scared for him? I'm scared for everyone here, and I don't know where to start or what to do. I don't really know what I'm even asking for here... Advice? I know that we can talk and stuff, but is there anything I can do to make their lives a little less miserable? What things I should and shouldn't bring up in conversations?

I just want them to be happy, y'know? They deserve to be healthy—mentally and physically—and to feel safe and cared for. They deserve to know that people love them and want what's best for them, even if that message comes from the people they don't expect to hear it from. They deserve to feel seen and heard, to have their experiences and emotions validated after everything they've been through.

And I know that a lot of their problems come from that thing in the sky—hell, I think I'd go as far as to say that all of their problems are a result of its callous actions—but they don't deserve any of that. They all have a place in this world, seats that they need to fill. No life is a waste, and I can't just sit here and let them leave their seats in this world empty because some "god" decided that they weren't perfect or important enough to sit in it. It- It's not fair!

....why do I keep doing this? I just said I wasn't going to ramble-

I'm sorry, Green. I don't mean to- I dunno- rant every time I've opened my mouth around you lately. It's just, that I feel like you're the only person I can talk to who actually gets it. I'll try to stop doing this, but my point from earlier still stands. Is there anything I can do to help, too?

"Chat it up as much as ya need buddy, I'm here ta talk after all as I said. I'll try my best to address all yer points" He claps his hands together, his mask reflecting how he clearly enjoys the interaction, and hell if that didn't give it away, the delighted purr in his voice definitely did. He takes a moment to gather his thoughts, clearing his throat

"Startin off...Reddo... 'Fraid to say but ya can't... and shouldn't try to help everyone. Honestly. I'd be more careful 'round him. He's not a bad guy really-...."

He stops himself in the middle of his sentence, visibly grimacing at his verbal misstep, he lets out a sigh before trying again

"Okay he's not a nice person but he's not....-"

He pauses once again. He knows he cannot find a single good thing to say about Red, despite how he tries.

"Ugh..... He makes this so fuckin' difficult. Listen. He's fine. But I'd be careful cause he can chew you up and spit you out just to use you as another stepping stone between hell and the new reality."

"He's a... desperate guy and will try anything until it works." He hunches his shoulders, looking off to the side, staring at the wall. He soon turns back, and you can feel him look you in the eyes again, your spine feels like ice, you can vaguely almost... feel the color green behind your eyes, seeing the color in the corners of your vision as you stare back.

"He does not give a single shit 'bout any of y'all, despite any of your love and care for him." He sighs out, you can hear it in his voice, he sounds genuine, he believes what he says. The main thing you can notice just slightly is the hint of worry in his tone that he tried to hide.

He shakes his head, moving onto the next topic, like he didn't just tell you that your life could be in danger. You want to speak more about it- ask him what he means but... He just moves on like he always does, making it feel like you a bit too late to the punch. You hold your tongue.

"Anyways.. About the rest.. I wish I could tell ya how to help em. If I knew the way to make everyone happy- to fix everyones problems, without causing worse harm- I'd already would've done so by now. Gods I've tried." He shrugs, he doesn't really have the answer for that and he knows it, but what he does know is the hard painful truth about this world.

"I hate to say it, and you're really not gonna like hearin' it but-" He pauses for a beat

"You cannot make everyone happy. You cannot fix anyone." His tone is firm, he isn't scolding you- but it feels about the same as how it feels to be taught stranger danger by your mother. A fact of life, something you wouldn't usually go into the world thinking. After all, a child has to learn that the world isn't all growlithes and rainbows someday don't they? And well, usually, you'd prefer to tell them yourself, instead of them having to get hurt to learn.

"Ya think Leaf's gonna be fine with y'all planning with Reddo? Ya think Gurin's gonna be fine with you talkin to Red?" He lets that sentence hang for a good long while. It wasn't something you thought about- You are getting involved with a lot of interpersonal drama, trying to be there for everyone- That... That's something that can get you into hot water... But you just want... To help, they can't blame you for that can they?

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this place will never be able to be the happy little kids game like it was supposed to be. I mean after all, who are you to come in and try to ''cheer em up?'' They don't know you. You clearly don't know them an' frankly! I'm not givin a playbook on how to act for 'em. Honestly... Whats the difference between you an arce at that point?" Your breath stops in your throat, what? No. You're nothing like Arceus- You just want to make them happy and make sure they're okay- That's entirely different than whatever the hell that creation god is doing- You're not all powerful- You're not able to just smite someone just for being- You're honestly quite offended you'd be compared-

"It isn't just them that's the issue y'know?" He interrupts your thoughts, moving on to the next part of the question. Well- Yes you knew that, of course, but they're most of the issue aren't they? That's well- what you've been able to assume-

"It's people like you that're the issue in the first place."

"Nah. It ain't fair, it really ain't, but what can ya do? We're just made to entertain after all. Fuck us if we aren't what the people want us to be. And so juuuust for all of you, it breaks us further. And further. And further. Changing us contorting us to its vision. Making us palatable." He spat, talking about the god long enough is getting him real heated, but that isn't... what you focus on, no no. You focus on how he says it. He sounds like he's talking from experience. It makes your heart burn "Making us aallll fit into the place that you all want us to be in" He almost snarls, you genuinely can't tell if the aggression is directed towards you or not anymore, you lean back in your chair, a little bit further away from the intensity that Green radiates.

He lets out a heaving sigh, putting his head in his hands for a moment, composing himself- You're gonna guess he wasn't intending to lash out at you. You hope. He pulls his face out of his hands, placing them on the desk yet again.

"Listen. I'm not sayin it's the fault of all of ya people but. Really. Do you really care about a video game character? Or do just care about what you think we are? what you want us to be? what it made us be?" He sighs, the question is... well clearly genuine, It's something he wants to know. Do you care? You... Like to think you do.... but... He's really making you doubt what you knew and... well what you thought you were trying to do.

Green refills the silence with his voice again, calm, a curious tone to it. "Yknow... I got a question for ya. Where d'ya think arcey learned how to be perfect anyways? Because well- No offense but. I don't think that mindstate jus' comes naturally."

🎭 BLOG INTRODUCTION/GUIDELINES

Heya! This account is solely moderated by @coastyreef <- feel free to each out if you have any blog related questions or general inquiries about the artist/owner.

This ask-blog doesn’t particularly follow a series of events or specific storyline, (not yet anyhow…) so the inbox is pretty much a free for all in regard to what interactions you want illustrated. And yes, there will be art attached to every ask given! This may be in the form of comics, doodles, and sometimes even fully colored illustrations.

You may also give directed asks to specific characters… it doesn’t always have to be for the pair together to answer. I call it the ‘ask-waterjade’ blog because the content will always surround Nya and Harumi in some shape or form.

I’m also open to asks for AU versions of Nya and Harumi! If you’re unfamiliar with any of my AU’s but would like some sort of references to those, feel free to ask me below in this post. If there’s enough interest, I’ll make some sort of follow up link with a list of AU’s I’ve created and be willing to continue making content for!

I’ll also be attempting to answer your questions through Nya and Harumi, not as myself (the owner) but I’m also okay with whatever other ninjago characters you may be interested in giving directed asks to. Remember, my universe is not completely adjacent to the canon source, so nearly all the characters within it hold different beliefs and stories to their source counterparts.

Hii this isn’t an ask but I’m wondering if I could make a blog based on this but with my own headcanons for the characters? I don’t just wanna steal the idea with permission ^_^

Hello there!

Yes, you're completely free to do a similar type of project. After all, this idea isn't really something we have ownership over. Nor is it fully original, either. This blog is somewhat inspired by another project from a different fandom on a different platform/website - where the characters would be interacting with the community, and reacting to stuff people sent in. I thought it was a neat premise, and I saw that RW didn't really have anything like this, as well as that a lot of the voice acting enthusiasts I knew have not had anything to do for a good while... and so, the blog was created!

Though I do have to warn you about two things first:

~ If you're looking to involve other people, then you have to make sure you're prepared to stick around. When you're making something by yourself, you can pretty much just quietly take a break for any amount of time, if you ever loose motivation - whereas here, you pretty much have to remain active for... who knows how long. (Else, you'd be kind of screwing over your participants. No one likes a ghost host.) It's not a huge hassle, or anything, and it doesn't take much time out of your days, but it does require commitment. Or in other words: it isn't a sprint, but a marathon.

~ And before you start, you should definitely make sure that you have enough people who are actually interested in joining. Your cast doesn't need to be anywhere near as large as what we have here (at the start, ours was also a much smaller one made mostly out of friends/acquaintances), but you should definitely get a couple people on-board, at least. Before I started this, I specifically made sure to ask around in multiple small Discord servers, if anyone would have any interest in voicing some characters here. And only once I got confirmation, have I actually started setting this whole thing up. Of course, new people will start showing up over time, but you have to secure a good starting point, first.

Anyways, I hope this last bit wasn't too discouraging. I just want you to be aware of, as well as prepared for what you're getting yourself into. But the fact that you're actually thinking about doing this is awesome, because we do indeed need a bunch more collaborative and interactive stuff! (Even though you could still use your headcanons if you simply joined this project, as everybody uses theirs, for their characters. But I'm guessing you wanna have all the characters align to yours, rather than just the ones you voice, which is perfectly fair) So yeah, I really hope your attempt at this will go just as well as ours! It truly is a very fun and rewarding journey, and the community is an absolute treat. (Even if you sometimes get asks that make you go "........huh???", as well as ones that just completely catch you off guard. But that's part of the fun, honestly xd)

How do I post my work to the Tropetember AO3 Collection?

When you go to post a new work in AO3, there will be a section that says ‘Post to Collections / Challenges’. In the field next to it, type ‘Tropetember 2024’.

Do I have to post my work to AO3, or can I just post it to Tumblr, or a different site?

You can post your work wherever you like! As long as you make a submission through our Submissions form, or mention us @tropetember in your own post including either the link to wherever the fanwork is hosted, OR the text of the fic, we will post it.

You can also post only to the AO3 collection if you don’t want your work on Tumblr.

How do I tag/format my submission to the blog?

The most important thing is to check the box for #R-tropetember if your fic is NS/ FW (AO3 rating of M or E).

You can also choose from the other checkboxes to tag your work, but please make sure to use these responsibly and correctly! For example, don’t check all of the different types of media unless your work genuinely falls under these categories. Each submission needs to be individually checked and posted by the mods, so please don’t make our job harder - we’re already putting in many hours of work!

Incorrectly tagged works will have all nonessential tags removed and will therefore not show up in the search results.

Please make sure to include your fic’s TITLE, TROPE & SHIP (if applicable). Why are there multiple prompts listed for each day? Do I have to combine them, or can I just pick a single one?

We listed various prompts for each day to give everyone as much choice as possible. You definitely aren’t expected to combine them (but you can if you want!).

Is Tropetember open to any fandom, character or ship?

Yes, it is! Feel free to create content for whichever fandom you want, including crossovers.

What if I miss the day for the prompt I want to do? Can I do the prompts out of order?

It doesn’t matter if you miss the specific day - please go ahead and write the prompt that caught your eye! Feel free to do any of the prompts on any day of September.

What if I’m late and don’t finish before the end of September?

We’ll be allowing late entries for one week after September 30th. If you miss that deadline, the AO3 collection will remain open until the one for next year is up and you can still post your works there.

Why do you post and reply at strange times?

What’s with #27, “gay panic”? Isn’t that a discriminatory legal defence that allows for hate crimes against LGBTQIA+ people?

We (the mods) are both members of the LGBT+ community and we are very much aware of our gay history and the way this term has been used against people like ourselves. However, this phrase has a history of being thoroughly reclaimed by fanfic authors, with use dating back well prior to our own entry into fandom (and we’re old enough to remember the days of Livejournal, Wordpress and Fanfiction.net!) Feeling an initial sense of panic over one’s sexuality is something that is highly relatable to most people in the LGBTQIA+ community and that most of us have experienced, and the use of the phrase “Gay Panic” to describe a crisis of sexuality is part of our intertwined communities’ history.

Ask game! Wouldst thou be so kind as to answer numbers 7, 9, 18, 19, 20? <3

Can do! If you’re okay getting Durge answers to Tav questions, since my custom/Tav characters are all from a homebrew D&D setting and not fleshed out enough within the Forgotten Realms to give proper answers for.

Though fair warning; some of these answers may be long and likely massively spoilery, for both the game and the garbage fanfiction I’m writing about it.

7. What circumstances led to your Tav becoming their class/subclass?

Alassane, through various exceedingly unfortunate circumstances, ended up alone on the streets of Baldur’s Gate for multiple years when he was 15 or so. What is an urchin in a high fantasy setting to do but to learn the ways of the con-artist, get very good at larceny, and generally fall into the lovable scoundrel and rogue archetype?

Basically, he’s a self-taught rogue who had to learn the hard way to survive on his own. He became a rogue through sheer pragmatism. He turned to being an assassin specifically around the age of 17/18, when his biological family came back into his life.

9. What was your Tav doing when they were taken by the mind flayers?

He was catatonic, as he had been for maybe nine months at that point, and imprisoned in the mind flayer colony deep beneath Moonrise Towers. Then his pod was shoved onto a nautiloid, and the rest is history.

18. What is your Tav's greatest fear?

Short answer; Alassane’s greatest fear is probably his father.

Long meandering answer; Bhaal is arguably the only thing that legitimately scares Alassane, because of the power Bhaal clearly has over him. He’s frightened of himself too, but this is mainly because of the gnawing feeling he has that there is ultimately no difference between him and his father.

Alassane leans very hard into a specific character and personality he has constructed for himself, because he cannot stand the idea of who he really is, and is terrified of the rejection and isolation that will surely come if anyone ever witnesses the truth. More specifically, he’s terrified of the idea that he is nothing more than a fragment of Bhaal, that his soul is not his own but a piece of Bhaal’s unholy essence, and that “Alassane” as a person doesn’t really exist, and maybe never has.

The fact that he was simply abandoned immediately after being “born” deeply traumatised Alassane and left him with this deep seated desire to prove himself worthy, because he believes that after everything he’s done, his father is the only one who will ever potentially accept him as he is. That gives Bhaal an unimaginable amount of power over Alassane, on top of the murder urges that can also wrest Alassane’s autonomy away from him.

Alassane is so sure that no one will ever accept/love/forgive him for the things he’s done that he sincerely believes Bhaal is his only option. Which is, of course, all insanely abusive and shit, because Bhaal is what made him that monster, but Alassane doesn’t really come to understand that until he’s forcibly removed from the situation.

19. What is your Tav's greatest desire?

To be his own person, dictate his own existence, and generally gain some sense of autonomy over who he is and his life. He isn’t really aware of this for most of his life, but ultimately when you get down to it, he wants his choices to be his own, and he wants them to matter.

20. What is your Tav's greatest regret?

Okay, this one is the most spoiler-heavy answer of the lot, so be careful.

Alassane’s greatest regret is the deaths of his foster family. It’s kind of the entire driving force behind his journey as a character, and the one thing he was never able to let go of. It’s the reason why he’s so deeply emotionally attached to his name, and why he’s violently opposed to ever going by the moniker of “the Dark Urge”.

His foster family loved him deeply, giving him a traditional family name as a way of making it clear that they considered him to be their real son, and that he would always belong with them, even after they had a biological daughter of their own. The name “Alassane Erendse” became his last connection to the life he wishes he still had, back when he did actually have that unconditional love he obviously craves. So of course, Bhaal took it all away, by having Alassane himself be the one to kill them.

The ordeal broke Alassane so thoroughly it made him numb to all the monstrous things that followed. It haunts him even after losing his memories, to the point that his “dream visitor” is a grown up version of his baby foster sister.

FAQ

Character Qualifications:

Because of the two-fold aspect of the character qualifications and the fact that they don’t have to be canon, we have a few preferences ranked from most to least preferred.

1.) They are both canon LGBTQ+ and disabled (ex. Amaya from The Dragon Prince) (word of god confirmation counts as canon most of the time for us)

2.) They are canon disabled and commonly fanon LGBTQ+ (ex. Hermann Gottlieb from Pacific Rim) (at this point down you do need to give a decent argument to their inclusion)

3.) They are canon LGBTQ+ and commonly fanon disabled (ex. Julian Bashir from Stark Trek: Deep Space Nine)

4.) They are neither canon LGBTQ+ or disabled, but are commonly portrayed as such in fanon (ex. Sokka from Avatar: The Last Airbender)

If you’re still not sure your character counts feel free to shoot us an ask. Any character that was rejected last season could be submitted and potentially run, and anything from last season could potentially not be run. Mod A is going to be more picky about canonicity this season, but we will still take non canon characters. Why do we include noncanon characters? See our argument here.

Common Questions:

1.) Multiple characters from the same media can be submitted and will be in the showdown. You can also submit as many characters as you want.

2.) Submissions will close at some point, historically they close really slowly, but we’ll see how this season falls out.

3.) Characters being kind of assholes or villains won’t exclude them from the poll as long as they aren’t problematic portrayals.

4.) If there has been a decent volume of recent posts, asks should get answered pretty fast, they tend to languish otherwise. Some asks also won’t be answered if we feel there is no need to.

5.) The reason for the no Locked Tomb spoilers is because Mod G is in the process of reading it (very slowly) and Mod A isn’t letting them look at spoilers. Anything that was propaganda last time is fine to mention.

Blog Organization:

Ties: if polls finish within 1% of each other they will be considered a tie and both move on individually, potentially causing a three way poll at some point. Later in the showdown if we have characters from the same media and they go against each other and tie they will move on together. This has been a policy for over two years, so the time to complain about it is long gone.

Bracketing: we don’t seed really, we generally stick the characters in a randomizer and then adjust it as we see fit. This also allows us to have unconventional bracket sizes.

Tagging:

So, I had never seen or used ChatGPT before, but I figured I ought to familiarize myself with it, considering all the kerfuffle surrounding AI and the fact that I work in Education. Here's what I've found:

ChatGPT is a potentially fun and useful tool, but it's also dumb as a brick.

Like, I would never want to use this to write a whole story or a script. But, as a writing prompt exercise? I can see it's value.

I tossed it a few challenges. It turns out that you can have multiple "chats" going and what happens in one does not carry over to another. I gave it multiple scenarios of "What if the Power Rings from the DC Universe ended up in the Marvel Universe?" In one version, it made Spider-man a Green Lantern, Thor a Yellow Lantern (named "The Fearful Thor"), and Black Widow a Star Sapphire (named "Red Widow"). In another chat, it suggested the following list:

ChatGPT Interesting question! Let's see...

Iron Man: Yellow (Fear) - Tony Stark has often struggled with fear and insecurity, especially regarding the safety of the world.

Thor: Green (Willpower) - The God of Thunder has incredible willpower, as seen in his determination to protect Asgard and Midgard.

This version, I actually like a little better, but it differs quite a bit from the other version and I've noticed that ChatGPT is far more likely to reference characters that have movies about them than any of the even slightly more obscure characters.

In yet another, I asked "Would any Marvel heroes use the Yellow Lantern Ring?" and it responded "Heroes using a power based on fear is a bit of a paradox, but in the world of comics, anything is possible!" And ultimately suggested Dr. Strange. It also suggested either Norman Osborn or Loki for the Orange Ring, this time.

So, the way you phrase the question can definitely change the answer it gives.

Also, when you ask it to write a scene, you get quite a lot of "They would not say that!" moments. The scene it wrote of Batman adopting Spider-man was fairly strange and stilted and the scene it wrote of Captain America going on a date with Wonder Woman had them just leaving in the middle of an epic battle to go have dinner!

The dialogue it wrote between Dean Winchester and Buffy Summers was a little better, but it's scene of Tom Paris meeting Nick Locarno was simply not good.

Now, areas where it excelled were in simpler tasks. I asked it to write an e-mail regarding a graduation issue and, aside from some missing specifics, it actually wrote a better version than I had come up with.

Similarly, when I spelled out the ideas I had for a TTRPG, it was able to fill in some of the blanks in a way that I quite enjoyed and hadn't come up with and fit the theme I was going for.

All in all? I'm going to keep using it, but I would warn against relying on it heavily. Most of what it writes, especially if asked to do something creative, barely meets what I would consider a first draft, but it can be a fun jumping off point.

my funny OCs are the kind that have a whole story and like 50+ pages of lore attached, which is why I really want to talk about them because otherwise I would just take it to my grave and that would be sad. overall the tone/genre is a Persona 3 kind of thing if that makes sense? I view it as psychological horror but at the same time I don't feel like I can call it proper horror if it's not really the main focus (it's not in your face very much, it's just a gloomy setting where messed up shit kinda happens on occasion and can be very jarring).

it's meant to be this kinda lore-iceberg type of vibe? the best way I can explain it is that someone could ask something like "ok but what is [character]'s motive?" and it might as well be the opposite of occam's razor, where the explanation is an absurd rabbit hole. in the context of the whole OC story it tends to clear up a lot of things when I decide to do that, but I know some people Do Not Like That so I felt it was worth warning in y'all in advance that I write like that and it's on purpose

I have multiple different worlds/universes that I work on, but despite them being completely different settings, the tone is mostly similar. There's also a slight overlap in characters that kinda makes it into AUs? It's complicated and my own fault

This blog focuses on my Rain World OCs involved in the "Mobile Iterator Project" AU. ^_^

The “Mobile Iterator Project” (MIP) is a project created and directed by an Ancient named "No Cost Too Great" (NCTG) with the stated goal of supporting standard iterators in their productivity, maintenance, and longevity, so that they can operate at maximum efficiency, even after the inevitable mass ascension. ‘MIP Units’—iterators under the project—are created puppet-first in the "MIP Development Center" and later assigned to Local Groups, where their structures are built to support the Iterators around them. Uniquely, their personalities are heavily based around singular, specific Architects (Ancients) who donate their memories and qualia. The exception to this is TWR. In total, there are 99 MIP Units, with IDs ranging from 01 to 99.

(This AU strays pretty far from the themes and canon of both Vanilla Rain World and Downpour, so please keep that in mind!)

Hey! We're Starship Abyss, collectively known as Epitaph. Queer + disabled + plural, notably schizoaffective and autistic.

We're trying to re-learn how to do research for fun, and reteaching ourselves how to find, read, interpret, and share information. Our schizoaffective disorder comes with a huge chock-ton of cognitive symptoms that affect how we learn and remember information, and we have multiple "memory bad" disorders, so here we are with this blog.

Originally called liifeonearth, the two crewmates that really wanted this blog to reblog gifs and fun information and what-have-you now never, ever front, and out of the two of them, only one has fronted for any period of time within the last year. So, this blog has been dead for a few years.

What we're planning to do with this blog is share what we're learning about. We've known we're plural for around five years now, but only recently have we started to discover and accept that we all want to learn different information. This blog will help us not only remember what crewmate loves which topic but will help us remember what we've been learning through our own posts about each topic. It will serve, as well, as a way to discover our individual loves and feel more comfortable as plural persons.

We also want to start fact-checking cool posts we find on our own time, so that might start up as well! Overall, we're in the business of finding and sharing information we find cool, with sources.

I'm more than happy to do the same prompt for multiple characters! if it's multiple characters on the same ask it may take a little longer (so say one ask that requests five characters will take a lil longer to finish that one with two). Or if you see a previous ask and want to see what it would be like with other characters I can totally do that too!

Unless gender is specified I try to stick to gender neutral readers but I'm open to writing for any so long as it's specified in the ask otherwise GN is my default!

I'll accept requests for any BG3 character! including the main group but especially NPCs cause I ain't gonna lie I always fall into the trap of having favorites who get several seconds of screen time at best so ngl I'd love ya'll forever if you send em in. As far as I'm aware of at the moment there isn't any character in the fandoms that I'm in that I wouldn't write for - if that ever changes ofc I'll let ya'll know! I'm still meeting more characters as I play so I may have to do a bit of digging if it's a character I'm unfamiliar with.

In terms of content and topics that I couldn't write for Non-con is something I'm not comfortable with writing. And ofc anything I write that does have potentially triggering subject matter will be labelled and warned about accordingly. I can't think of anything else off of the top of my head but feel free to ask if there's anything you're concerned or want to ask about!

I'll definitely write Poly x readers so don't be shy about sending any in! Same goes for any AUs! Suggestive and implied content is A-okay! And I'm also up for writing NSFW/explicit requests which will also be tagged whenever they're posted! I'm pretty open about writing kinks though I'll admit I don't know too many. If there's one you wanna ask about specifically feel free to do so and I'll let you know if I can or can't accept the request.

In terms of BG3 specifically I tend to keep things ambiguous unless specified anyways so it's all good! And if you do want to specify a particular race/class feel free to do so I don't mind at all honestly.

I've been hearing a lot that my initial announcement was "immature", "childish", and "poorly written" from multiple sources in varying degrees. How it "could have been handled differently". And I would like to remind you all that everyone responding to this is not in the position I was in and also has the privilege of hindsight on the matter.

I had no way of knowing that my message to my small pocket of the internet was going to go further than my walls. I had no idea that people would be sending hate messages to Shina. And I truly had no idea people would read what I wrote and jump to the conclusion of "groomer" and "pedo". These are things that I'm being criticized of for the words I wrote warning the minors in my space to avoid interacting with a creator that had consistently not been responsible with how they post their sensitive works.

So truly and honestly, if you had been in my position, what what you have done? What what you have said? Because I've asked multiple people this question and no one has given me a proper answer. It's so incredibly easy to shoot the messenger here but all I did was put the truths on the table. I didn't sugar coat them and I was intentionally not specific on certain items for the sake of discretion. This was seen as being ambiguous for the sake of making Shina look worse which was not the case.

I've been on the internet for a very long time and all the things people are seeing as "innocent" like the drawing of a minor fan with her narrator and the filk fic really aren't. Implying that I'm some freak for seeing the obvious sexual overtones of the fic concept is absolutely absurd. Have you ever seen fetish artists try to defend their fetish art because it's technically sfw? It feels the same. Most people haven't read this fic concept and I have no intention of sharing it because it is not my place to do so, but I will assure you that any amount of media comprehension and unbiased consideration would show you that it's very obviously kink/fetish no matter if there's "silly and innocent" aspects of it. It had no place being discussed with people under 18 to the familiarity point of making inside jokes.

The artwork that was made was inappropriate. Having that kind of interaction with a child fan, even if it's sfw, is wrong. Consider for a moment if I had drawn my narrator, Arthur, married to one of the teenagers that have a crush on him. Imagine if a creator of a larger cartoon took any adult character and drew them romantically with a child fan. It would be under the utmost scrutiny.

People are looking at all of these issues individually as if they're in a vacuum. But the reality is that these are not isolated incidents and part of a greater whole. All together, it's troubling. All together, it warranted a warning post for my community. And now I'm left with the backlash of me trying my best to keep the community I grew safe with people leaving because the don't want to be targeted by harassment.

While I'm glad Shina did own up to her mistakes, I only made this post because it was being claimed that I was spreading misinformation and being misleading which was never ever true. I'm not surprised that people are nitpicking my attempts stand my ground on my statements but I am disappointed. I hope at least that this whole situation can act as a litmus test to filter out the people that would go out of their way to continuously excuse the behavior that made this whole thing begin in the first place.

Oh and one more thing, the ending thank you was literally a coincidence, but again I'm not shocked that my intentions were twisted.

I’ve received notice that there was a callout on me in the Stanley Parable Creator’s Club server and I would like to address it as I am a bit tired of people talking behind my back. I wasn't contacted by anyone from the server directly about the issue. 

The specific accusations were that I openly discussed a fic with NSFW themes to a minor, shared NSFW fic online without properly warning it for minors, and encouraged a self insert ship of one of my Narrator designs with a minor. 

These accusations are false, or blown entirely out of proportion. I have never intended to hurt people nor endanger minors and based on screenshots I've received, people have been spreading even more extreme misinformations, like me being a groomer. I want to tell the story with the mentioned earlier things, in hopes to clear up this matter and stop the harassment me and people received. 

1) Sharing NSFW Fic Online

I have been informed that I posted a link to my fic, "A broken promise", without a proper warning. 

I did put appropriate warning in the tags, however I did forget about archive warnings options and I misjudged that the T rating would suffice. I also had only mentioned the rape in tags and not in the ao3 warning. I will be more careful when publishing work in the future.

I've deleted the links on my posts and privated the work, as I do not want anyone else to get possibly harmed.

2) Filk

I was informed my never written fic was discussed in the discord as well with a completely incorrect premise and I would like to mention the idea to give people more insight into what it actually is supposed to be, despite the fact that it was never actually written. 

Filk (Fernator's milk) is based on a joke someone made from another fic of mine, "Bon appetit 1.5 - Chicken soup is served " where Stanley buys milk and pickles, and we called it pilk. Somebody made a joke that this is like a pregnancy craving and I decided that that would make a funny CRACK fic premise. Again, I never have written this fic, and the only place it ever existed was in a series of messages in a private discord.

The whole point of crack fics is that it has a stupid premise. In here, it was one of my Narrator's, Fernator, telling Stanley he would make him pregnant. I know that this sounds like the problem, but that was just a premise.

What really happens in the fic is that Fernator tells Stanley about human reproduction but after that, the majority of the fic is a sfw adventure on how viruses, bacteria, and plants reproduce. 

With bacteria, Stanley just gets copied, with viruses, Fernator creates a computer virus and it doesn't work so they move on, and with plant, the title filk comes in which is milk with fern spores in it. It ends up just in Stanley's foot. The end goal was for them to just get the cutout Baby as their child and then, the main fic that I talked about would end. After a while, they would realise they didn't really succeed and would try to make something, pouring filk onto Fernator and creating Pickle Rick.

The accusations of this being a non con confuse me as Stanley is happy to be brought onto this journey and there are no actual sexual activities involved in this not written project. 

3) Art with minor

One person was very supportive of one of my Narrators, Jester (they drew him a bit), and even started to call him their husband. Since they're my friend, I wanted to make them happy, so I drew something I deemed wholesome and platonic. They also took my drawing this way. 

In my eyes at the time, when I made the art, I never thought of this 'ship' as anything other than admiration for a design. 

However, that context got lost when they reposted my art on that server with my permission. 

I now see how people could think otherwise and I will be far more wary about this topic in the future.

However, while the announcement didn't use the exact word 'groomer', it highly implied it. I feel wronged for that as I received a lot of harassment in my direct messages. 

I would like a statement and an apology from the announcers because their words caused a lot of harm.

4) Conclusion

I want to finish this off with being honest about the mistakes I've made of not properly checking sfw spaces - which started all this - and talking about suggestive matters within them. The fanfiction link was certainly a slip up but I will be more careful in the future of what I post. 

However - I also want to say that it's not okay to harass people who got involved in this.

I myself have received false accusations already and seen my work be misinterpreted. I only learnt about this through buds giving me a notice and I do ask, if a similar situation would ever occur, which I don't plan on, to message me directly first about my mistake.

In the future, I will remember to double check where I discuss my fic ideas and I'll do everything in my power for this situation not to repeat.
